Taylor swift was accused of stealing lines for her hit song "shake it off" by Jesse braham. Mr Jesse Braham said Taylor Swift stole more than 90% of her song "shake it off" from his own 2013 song titled "haters gonna hate".
However, Braham's lawsuit was written by him in a layman's way with many misspellings and errors, funny enough Jesse Braham stood as his own attorney.
The judge noticed the quake lawsuit was not genuine or not well collated. Jesse Braham who is known as Jesse Graham in the R&B world. Braham/Graham, asked for a waiver on court filing fees, sought $42 million from Swift and her record label Sony, plus a songwriter credit.
The judge however dismissed his case but seemed to leave open the possibility that Braham/Graham might get back into court one day. Usually, the legal beagles call this "dismissed without prejudice," meaning it's gone but not necessarily forever.
Or, as the judge put it in Swiftian terms: "At present, the Court is not saying that Braham can never, ever, ever get his case back in court. But, for now, we have got problems, and the Court is not sure Braham can solve them."
